Frequently Asked Questions

  • A doula is never meant to replace your partner. We do however support the entire family during labor. As your doula we help educate and encourage partners in supporting you. Doulas help guide and protect the birth space to remain gentle and peaceful.

  • Doulas vary in pricing based on their experience and demand. The Flathead has many incredible doula's available for growing families. Price can vary between $500 to $1200 here. I offer affordable payment plans for families. Please inquire directly for the cost of my services!

  • There are many tools available to a labouring mom and the epidural is one of them. Your doula should support all birthing options and make sure you have all the information you need to decide what feels right to you at the time. Before an epidural there are sensations that require focus to work through. Your doula helps to keep you comfortable with providing comfort measures such as breathing, positions, massage and other tools until an epidural is available to you. An epidural reduces some sensations in labour but not always all, your doula aids in your comfort and keeping you as calm as possible throughout your birth process.

  • Family and friends are an amazing supports for your growing family. The challenge is that many of them may not have the same experience or unbiased support that a doula can provide. Your doula is your guide to find “your” way through this journey.

  • The sooner the better! Often time I hear from clients that having a doula earlier in their pregnancy allows for them to build the trust and support they need. When we have more time to get to know you we have more transparency during labor.

  • Trust your gut! There are so many wonderful doulas out there and we each have our own unique abilities and personalities. When choosing your doula you should feel a deep connection to their beliefs, personality, and overall a sense of trust.

Kind Words & Testimonies

  • Morgan is such a gift. The way she supported me through my pregnancy and my birth was more than I could have ever imagined. I had terrible back labor and Morgan was amazing at using counter pressure to help take away some of the pain. Morgan, even if you say I am strong and could have done it without you- The point is I can’t even imagine having done this without you by my side!!!! You kept me strong!

  • Morgan is a kind, professional, and knowledgeable doula and lactation consultant. We worked with her for a home birth and her support was invaluable for my husband and I. • I reached out to Morgan for lactation support after my daughter had a tongue and lip tie procedure. She was having trouble latching and I was lacking confidence in it all. When she came to my home it felt like I already knew her. She is warm, kind, and respectful of your body and the emotional space you are in postpartum. She helped us get things on track and has continued to support me with all my breastfeeding questions, concerns and needs. Morgan is very knowledgeable and helped me understand how to identify thrush in myself and baby, clogged ducts and mastitis. She is incredibly supportive and has made my breastfeeding journey easier! If you’re like myself and a lot of first time moms, I didn’t know nearly enough about breastfeeding prior to having my baby and Morgan helped me “catch up”. If you are struggling with breastfeeding at all and need support I highly recommend hiring Morgan

  • Morgan came for a lactation home visit, and saved the day!! We were all in tears, I thought I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed, baby wasn’t latching, and I was very engorged. Morgan came, and within the hour everything was going smoothly. She has a sweet motherly touch and will be your best friend, while still maintaining a professional attitude. Highly recommend her services to anyone wanting to breastfeed, even if you don’t have issues with it, it would be a big step forward in your breastfeeding journey.

During my labor she helped me in getting my baby in a better position for birth and was full of encouragement.
